After completing high school he was given a scholarship with the PGA (Professional Golf Association) with players such as David Linn, Lee Westwood. He attended the golf academy in Lilleshall, Newport, England. The Hall was built in 1831 as the hunting lodge and family retreat of the Duke of Sutherland. It is now a flagship residential training center and award winning center of excellence for many of the UK’s top sportsmen and women. Steve is a scratch golfer but does not play as much as he would like. Steve obtained his LLB (Hons.) In law at Staffordshire University England. Steve’s main areas of practice are Criminal Law and Family Law. Steve was Admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2001 after completing the Legal Practice Course. He then articled with Knight and Sons Solicitors. From there he worked for Young and Co. Solicitors concentrating on civil litigation (personal injury). His next step was Walters and Plaskitt Solicitors where his focus was family and criminal law. Having spent 3 years in Criminal and Family Law he started his own practice in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Steve then decided to move to Ontario Canada, where he lives with his wife and two boys. Steve is currently completing the NCA Certificate of Qualification, out of the University of Ottawa. |
