Rogerson Law Group advises high net worth and ultra net worth clients in Dubai and elsewhere in the Middle East region, both directly and via their local advisers in banks, trust companies, law firms and accountancy firms on asset protection and Canadian tax residency issues.
To help these clients we offer immigration to Canada. For Canadian ex-pats, newly arrived or returning, we advise on Canadian taxation, wills and estates.
For nearly 10 years, experienced asset protection lawyer Andrew Rogerson has regularly visited Dubai to visit high net worth clients. His work includes advising individuals as well as local trust companies, international and domestic banks, lawyers, accountants and other professionals.
Andrew has spent years working in Dubai on Asset Protection and Wealth Management instructions. During recent years he has built up an enviable practice advising and representing very high net worth and ultra net worth individuals and organisations.
His work includes advising on offshore structures such as trust, foundations and offshore companies to avoid Sharia Law forced heirship rules and the potential attacks of creditors, whilst still being compliant with Canadian tax rules.
Clients include those who are remaining in the Middle East, and those who are transferring their business and home to Canada.
Andrew has practiced at the Bar since 1991, in London and as far afield as South Africa, Australia, the Turks and Caicos Islands and Jersey, before returning to Canada in 2006 to found the Rogerson Law Group. His work with clients in the Middle East grew organically from advising a client in Dubai nearly 10 years ago – and being asked by established Dubai contacts to assist them with issues relating to Canada. This represented the start of a rapidly growing practice in the region which is now well-established and thriving.
We are pleased to confirm that Rogerson Law Group is due to open a new office in Tehran imminently. This reflects the continually growing success of our practice in the Middle East region.
Andrew is a regular contributor to the STEP Journal and has been a panelist presenting papers at the two most recent STEP conferences. In November 2015 he spoke at the STEP Arabia conference in Dubai on 8 November 2015 on Asset Holding and Legacy Planning in the Islamic World.
