Arika Sohail, HBSc, JD

Arika is a family law lawyer with Rogerson Law Group. She was called to the Bar in 2021, and thereafter worked at a family and civil law firm. She joined Rogerson Law Group in August 2022.

Arika obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto where she majored in biology, chemistry, and sociology.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. While at Osgoode, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada on the Family Law Project which provides family law services to low-income individuals. She assisted Duty Counsel and advocated for clients regarding concerns such as decision-making responsibility, parenting time, and child and spousal support.

Arika completed the Law Practice Program from Toronto Metropolitan University where she participated in workshops on negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, and trial advocacy, and gained research expertise.

Arika is on the executive committees of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario (WLAO), the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL), and Toastmasters International. Other than work, she enjoys reading, hiking, board games, and going to the gym.
